What It Means to Be a Showit Design Partner (and Why It Matters When You Hire One)
I started my career in corporate design, working on well-known brands and quietly wondering where the people were. That question is a big part of why White Ink Creative exists, and why I now design on Showit as an official Showit Design Partner. If you have seen the badge on a designer’s site and wondered what it means, or whether it should influence who you hire or which template you buy, this post explains it plainly.
What a Showit Design Partner actually is
Showit runs a partner programme for designers who build on its platform. As I understand it from the programme, partners complete Showit’s design standards training, agree to a designer code of conduct and design to a standard that Showit reviews. Designers who sell templates also have those templates assessed for quality, ease of use and aesthetics before they are listed.
In short, the badge is a signal that someone has been vetted by the platform itself. It does not replace looking at a designer’s portfolio, but it does tell you the person knows the platform properly.
Why I chose to design on Showit
Showit gives you design freedom without code. You can place elements exactly where they belong, build separate desktop and mobile layouts and connect a WordPress blog for search. For service-based businesses that rely on their website to look considered and convert enquiries, that mix is hard to beat.
It also means the website you receive is yours to edit. You can update copy, swap photos and add pages without waiting on a developer. That independence matters to the women I work with, who are busy running a business.
Templates and custom design: which is for you
Templates and custom design solve different problems, and I offer both.
A template suits you when you want a beautiful, structured starting point at a more accessible investment. My Showit website templates each have their own personality. Amelia Jane is quiet and polished, Alora is refined and editorial, Elanore is bold and structured, and Olivia Rose is soft and timeless. Every template includes desktop and mobile layouts, and you can add as many pages as you need.
Custom design suits you when your website needs to be built around your brand, your offers and the way your clients like to book. It starts with strategy, so every page has a job to do. You can see how that works on my services page.
If you are not sure which sits better with your business, that is exactly what a Clarity Call is for.
What to look for when you hire a Showit designer
Whether you buy a template or commission a custom site, a few things are worth checking. Look for an official partner listing in Showit’s designer directory. Review recent client work and ask how the site will be set up for search. Find out what support you receive after launch, and who owns the final files and copy.
Pay attention, too, to whether the designer talks about strategy or only about looks. A website should help a visitor understand what you do and take the next step.
The Bottom Line
Being a Showit Design Partner is a promise of standards: trained on the platform, held to a code of conduct and reviewed for quality. For you, it means more confidence that the website you invest in will look polished, work well on every device and be easy to manage.
