I help visionaries create luxury
brands & websites with purpose.
There’s a particular kind of joy that comes from watching a brand you’ve poured yourself into be recognised by someone else entirely. This week, our work for Maison Gildæ was featured by Brands on Cue — and it’s the kind of moment that reminds me exactly why I do what I do.
When Maison Gildæ first came to White Ink Creative, the vision was clear but the visual language wasn’t yet built. This is often the hardest gap for a business owner to bridge alone — you know how you want your brand to feel, but translating that feeling into typography, colour, and form takes a different kind of eye. My job was to close that gap: to take everything Maison Gildæ stood for and give it a visual identity that could carry the weight of the brand’s ambitions.
Elegant. Distinctive. Powerful. Transformative. These were the words used to describe the finished identity, and they’re exactly what I hope every client feels when they see their brand come to life. Good branding isn’t only about what looks polished on a screen — it’s about capturing how a business wants to be experienced by the people it serves. For Maison Gildæ, that meant designing an identity that felt as considered and refined as the Maison itself, from the mark through to the finer details most people never notice but always feel.
This is the part of brand identity design that’s easy to underestimate. A logo alone can look beautiful and still miss the mark entirely if it doesn’t reflect the emotional experience a client wants their customers to have. The real work is in aligning the visual language with the brand’s deeper intention — so every touchpoint feels like a natural extension of the business, not just decoration on top of it.
Being featured by Brands on Cue is a genuine honour, but the part that means the most is what the Maison Gildæ team shared alongside it — the care they felt throughout the process, and the pride they now feel in an identity that’s truly their own. That’s the outcome I work toward with every client: not just a brand that looks beautiful, but one that feels like home to the people running it.
A strong brand identity is more than a logo — it’s a visual language built around how a business wants to be felt, not just seen. When that language is right, it shows: in recognition like this, and in the confidence a business carries every time it shows up in the world.
If you’re building something you want to feel elevated, intentional, and unmistakably yours, I’d love to help you get there. Explore brand identity packages or book a discovery call, and let’s talk about what your brand could become.
